The whole day is made to be an Open home. Guests are invited to consult with admission sessions, financial help sessions, and campus walking tours. Current pupils will talk about their experiences on a learning student panel. The various academic departments will also be available all along Trousdale Parkway, allowing prospective students to look around and see what majors, programs, and opportunities are present. Additionally, our undergraduate programs will host information sessions, such as the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences’ ‘Come Here, get Anywhere’ system, that will look at the many honors programs, overseas studies, and research that is undergraduate offered inside the Dornsife College, and the Thornton School of Music, that may host a session about ‘The Music Industry and Popular Music.’ Basically, if you’d like to learn about USC plus the undergraduate experience, Discover USC is the perfect program for you personally.
After attending the past 2 Discover USC programs, I’ve loved seeing the excitement and passion students that are prospective the day with. The students who visit are desperate to discover more and inquire. Ultimately, the faculty search procedure is all about finding a match and a good fit—just as much you, colleges want to make sure you think they’re a potential fit, as well as you want certain colleges to accept. This Sunday, take advantage of the time you have on campus if you’re able to attend Discover USC. Ask present students what made them decide to come here or what internships they’ve had. Ask staff members what they like about working here or why is USC unique. Ask as numerous questions as you can think about. This system is really a great opportunity to learn just as much as a USC student in the future as you can and truly imagine yourself. Walk around campus, interact with other potential students, fulfill your admission counselor, and most of all, enjoy the day. You’re bound to master something new and ideally have a wonderful day on campus.
